Adventure Race Training Weekend |
We are planning a training day for the Otway Adventure Race for people who are unfamiliar with the course, or just want to refresh themselves and train under real conditions. The training day is 2 weeks prior to the Otway Adventure Race, on Sunday the 14th of February 2010. Athletes who have done the event previously will be available to show you the ropes of the course, and the transition points. If you need a ski kayak, Jarad Kohlar of Peak Adventure has offered to bring down kayaks, at a rate of $40 for kayak, $5 for a PFD, and $10 for a paddle. He has a good selection of kayaks to suit all skill levels. You can book on the Peak Adventure web site. http://www.peakadventure.com.au/ - Look under 'Events' for details. If you can't make the weekend of the 13th/14th, there are other informal opportunities. - During January
- In the latter half of the week leading up to the Otway Adventure Race
- Other weekends
Please call Mike King on 0438 002 921, and he'll either take you along, or put you in touch with a local athlete who can help. |
